weekly blog 5

This week we went to the British Film Institution (BFI). We learned about what we need to do on our blog in order to get higher marks. Going to the BFI helped us with thinking about our opening sequence. However it wasn't as helpful as they never talked about how we should develop our marks, we mainly learned how a film producer produced a film.

weekly blog 4

My group and i had started the story board and decided how the opening sequence will flow from the start to the finish. We have also decided on the actors and what they will wear and what they will need to do. We just need to inform them. We have also done a script on how the opening sequence is stepped out, what will happen when.

This week i just finished up what i need to finish. Everything that was missing on my blog that was uncompleted is now complete, i had updated my blog so i am not behind.

Analysing my preliminary task

The match on action went well. As soon as actor 1 walked the corridor the camera changed. When the actor walked through the door the camera moved to the other side so when he opened the door the camera will see them. The shot reverse shot was good. After the actors have said a sentence the camera will move to the other actor. When actor 2 walks off the camera shows the expression of actor 1's face as well as actor 2 walking.
On a whole the preliminary task was good with some good ideas with the match on action, shot reverse shot, and the 180 rule. However, to improve the task we could add more action instead of a conversation, it would be more interesting. Also adding effects would make it better.

what i did in the half term was the synopsis and the target audience for my group. we also decided what we wanted to do in our opening sequence and chose the location of the place.

Mood board

Elevator Pitch

The Rights!

A teen horror but has more thriller than the rest. Scenes of higher class citizens chased by people with lower standards for their rights. Blooded scenes included as well as shocking images which will make one cringe.

weekly blog 1

I was a performer in our preliminary task. I also did the synopsis. In the group we built on our communication as a team, and developed our team work. this will help us with our final video, and help us get a clear idea on what we want to do.

Synopsis

Our preliminary task is simply on two who people have a conversation on being ill. We have used different shots in our video, these shots are: Match on action, Shot reverse shot and the 180 rule.

We start the video with character 1 walking into the class room, we do this by using the match on action shot. We take a shot of character 1 walking in the corridor passing the camera, then we take a shot of them opening the door after that, character 1 coming into the room and walking towards the table where character 2 is sitting.

Character 1 sits down. The two characters start having a conversation. Character two starts and then character 1 replies. When they say one line each the camera is looking at both of them. After character 1 has finished their first line, the shot reverse shot starts. First shot starts with character 2 and the reverse shot is on character 1.

We then start with the 180 rule when the two characters are having an argument, the camera is moving in a semi-circle around the two characters. our final shot is off character two getting angry and walking off. the shot we use for this is move on action.
